This Ring Panel Air Filter 3-Ply Polyester is bonded with a fire retardant binder. It is manufactured with an internal 9 gauge wire grid support. Tackified, orange tinted on the air exit side with an antimicrobial adhesive to ensure filtering finer particles of dust and allergens. It achieves a high level of efficiency on a wide range of particle sizes and replaces the MERV 7 - 1 inch polyester. The media is moisture repellant and suitable for use in temperatures up to 220 degrees Fahrenheit. The ring panel air filters approach or exceeds the MERV 7 performance and service life of air filters. They solve the problem of air and dirt passing between the air filter and the supporting frame, with a self-sealing edge. The overlapping media is furled against the frame, acting as a gasket, by the sturdy ring in a snug compression fit. Air must go through the air filter itself. The friction-fit frames can often eliminate the need for extra mounting hardware.
